Lyndsey & Dom

Lyndsey and Dom married at Villa Il Pozzo, a fifteenth-century villa with its own stone tower, set on a ridge of olive terraces south of Florence.

It began the evening before, with long tables under festoon lights and a wood-fired oven going until dark. The next day the ceremony was held on the balustraded terrace above the valley, and dinner ran on one long table until the candles burned down.

What I remember is not the view, though the view is extraordinary. It is her father holding on a moment longer than he meant to, and the whole terrace laughing at once when the confetti came.
